The Rebecca Galloway Chapter DAR will enjoy their April 8 meeting at noon more than usual. The ladies are invited to the 1854 Daniel Hertzler House for lunch, and not a 2017 lunch. Members Carol DeVore and Barb Arnold are preparing homemade chicken and noodles in the historic kitchen fireplace. Biscuits with jam and butter, bean salad and peach cobbler will round out the repast before the regular meeting and a special tour of the house. The house, decorated in pre-Civil House antiques, was built by an early Clark County entrepreneur and appears as though he and Mrs. Hertzler have just stepped out.
