Clark State Community College President Dr. Jo Alice Blondin has been named to the 2017 BizWomen Power 50 list by the Dayton Business Journal. This marks Blondin’s fourth consecutive year as a BizWomen Power 50 honoree.
“I am truly honored and humbled to be included with such incredible women in the Dayton region,” said Blondin. “Without a doubt, a strong Board of Trustees and decorated faculty, staff and students are the keys to Clark State’s leadership.”
Toni Overholser, director of workforce and business solutions for Clark State, said it is a privilege to work with such a dynamic leader who is well deserving of this honor.
“Dr. Blondin’s commitment to our students is at the forefront of everything we do at Clark State,” she said. “Her mission to remove barriers for our students drives student success, which directly impacts every community in our region.”
Overholser also said Blondin is dedicated to the region’s business community and understands the important role a community college plays in economic and workforce growth. Blondin is currently serving as the president for the National Council for Workforce Education.
Caleb Stephens, managing editor of the Dayton Business Journal said creating the list of just 50 again proved challenging, as there are many deserving female leaders across the Dayton region.
