FOX (Maher), Cassandra Rochelle “Casie” 32, of Sevierville, TN, formerly of Springfield, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017. She was born August 8, 1984 in Dayton and graduated from Portsmouth High School. Casie enjoyed cross-stitch, writing, taking walks in the mountains, horses, and spending time with family. Survivors include her husband, Henry Fox; parents, Kelly (Maher) Russell-St. John and Paul Russell, Jr. of Springfield; five children, Cameron Fox, Caitlin Arnold, Korbin Fox, Ashley Fox, and Jordan Fox; siblings, Erin (Guy) Russell-Laywell, Paul (Lora) Russell III, and Tyler Russell; and several other loving family members, including special aunt and uncle Erin and Todd Rutter and special cousin, Ashley Russell. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Barbara and Tony Williams, and cousin, Jaclyn Russell-Wise. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Monday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with a memorial service beginning at 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Autism Society of America.

WILLIAMS, Robert Lewis “Shorty” 56, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at SRMC. He was born January 30, 1961 in Springfield. Rob enjoyed listening to country music and watching TV, especially The Price is Right and Andy Griffith. He loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his soulmate, Debra Parsons-Byron; four children, Tracy Rogers, Robert L. (Jessika) Williams II, all of Springfield, Michael L. (Tiffany) Byron of Fairborn, and Michelle L. (David) Hilliard of Urbana; stepson, Greg (April) Byron of Springfield; numerous grandchildren; siblings, Warren, Roy, Joyce, Dolores, and Denise; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Williams; mother, Ruth (Horton) Harris; step-father, Ralph Harris; and siblings, Frank and Ernestine. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Clos officiating. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.

McCLANAHAN, Jr., Ralph Donald 64, of Springfield, passed away April 9, 2017. He was born July 26, 1952 in Springfield, the son of Ralph D. and Betty (Patton) McClanahan Sr. Ralph enjoyed fishing, motorcycles (especially Harley’s) and drag racing. He had been employed at Country Johns. Survivors include three children; Heidi Sparks, Springfield, Doug (Paige) Johnson, Columbus and Katrina (Eric) Webb, Springfield, six grandchildren; Skylier, Shyanne, Seth, Kyliee, Ilana and Caydin, siblings; Joyce (James), Patty, Ronald E. and Jason and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00PM until 4:00PM Saturday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.

GALLAGHER, Herbert R. 81, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the Springfield Masonic Community. He was born in Springfield on August 23, 1935 the son of Leo and Frances (Elliott) Gallagher. He retired from Navistar in 1987 after 30 years of service. He was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, a member of D.A.V. Chapter 13, V.F.W. Post 3660 and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include his sister, Patricia Roddy; nephew, Kevin (Julie) Roddy; great niece, Kacy Roddy; niece, Alice Judd; special friend, Karen Long; many friends and staff at Hearth & Home at Harding and other nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel and sister, Mary Lou Gallagher. The family would like to give a special thanks to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton and Springfield Masonic Community for their comfort and care. Per his request, there will be no visitation or service. Cardosi, Phyllis, 85 of Springfield passed away April 10, 2017 in Oakwood Village.  She was born in Springfield, Ohio on October 16, 1931.  She retired from Olan Mills and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.  Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward Cardosi, brother Edward Raines, sisters Norma Jean Ellison and Nancy Cornell.  Survivors include daughter Dianna (Charles) Kahler; grandchildren Allison (Jason) Pike and William (Codie) Kahler; great-grandchildren Hope & Spencer Pike and Gavin, Owen & Katelyn Kahler.  Services will be Monday at 2:00PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME with Pastor Matt Plott officiating.  Visitation one hour prior to services.  Burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.  Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.richardsraffanddunbar.com.

STEVEN D. FORD – 54, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017.  He was born October 9, 1962 at Wright Patterson Air Force Base the son of Henry & Geraldine (Sullivan) Ford.  He was a U.S. Army veteran.  He is survived by his parents, his wife, Elura Ford; a son, Steven Ford II;step son, Donnie Jr. & Jennifer Handwerker; a step daughter, Kristy & Johnny Cochran; step granddaughter, Vivian Cochran; brothers & sisters; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He is preceded in death by a son, Austin Ford.  Visitation will be 10:15 AM to 12:15 PM Monday April 17, 2017 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio with funeral services will be at 12:15 PM in the funeral home.  Burial will be at 2 PM at the Dayton National Cemetery

CARL FREDRICK “BUD” SCHNEIDER – 86, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 9, 2017.  He was born April 26, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio     the son of the late Carl M. & Irene M. (Knipe) Schneider.  Carl retired from G.M. after 39 years.  He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean Conflict.  Carl was an antique car enthusiast and favored his 1937 Packard.  He was a member of the Oak St. Church, Dayton and presently Asbury United Methodist Church, North Hampton.  Carl attended Jefferson High School, Dayton, Class of 48.  He was preceded in death by his mother & father; a sister, Dorothy and step son, Steve Sharp.  Carl is survived by his wife of   57 years,  Barbara (Brown) Schneider; children, Linda (Albert) Ashbridge, Carl A. (Esther) Schneider, Jennifer Walker plus stepchildren, Michael Sharp, Barbara (Mark) Allison, John (Vickie) Beaulieu; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.    Visitation will be 11-1 PM Thursday April 13, 2017 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio with funeral services at 1 PM in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers you may donate to Grace Hospice, Dayton, Alzheimer’s Association or Asbury United Methodist Church, North Hampton, Ohio.

Baker, Suzanne D., 83, a beloved child of Christ Jesus has gone home to be forever with her Lord and Redeemer Jesus Christ on April 09, 2017.  Leaving behind many brothers and sisters whom she fostered to Christs love through her unwavering work in printing and mailing Gospel messages around the world.  She is survived by four children and their families.  Graveside services will be Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 11:00AM at Ferncliff Cemetery to honor her memory.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Springfield Cancer Center or American Cancer Society.  RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME has been entrusted with the final arrangements. 70, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away  Saturday, April 8, 2017.  She was born June 27, 1946 in Garrett, Kentucky the daughter  of the late Ellis & Dorothy (Day) Scott.    She retired from Chrysler and was a member of the Full Gospel Pentecostal  Church, Enon, Ohio.  She is survived by her husband, Willie Wooten; two sons, Willie B. & Kimberly Wooten, Lotsie (Jennie) Wooten; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Lotsie, Richard & Charles Scott; three sisters, Sophia Shaffer, Margie  Burrows & twin sister, Dora Steinbarger; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Dennie Wooten; two brothers, James & Rush Scott.    Visitation will be 6 – 8 PM Monday April 10,  2017 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio.  Funeral services will be at 11 AM Tuesday at the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church, 2500 Fowler  Rd., Springfield, Ohio.  Burial will be in Enon Cemetery.
