City Finance Department Receives Certificate of Achievement

The City of Springfield Finance Department has been recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA).

The City’s Finance Department received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence for its work on its
2017 fiscal year end Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). The certificate is the GFOA’s
highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting.

“The Finance Department at the City of Springfield is honored to have received this recognition,” said
Finance Department Director Mark Beckdahl. “We’re proud of the work we do each and every day in
service to the people in our community.”

The GFOA is a major professional association headquartered in Chicago.
