EnPleinAire Workshop, Tuesday, September 18, 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Hertzler House

Teacher Libby Rudolf will lead ‘enpleinaire’ watercolor workshop at the Hertzler House. Artists should bring their own paints and brushes and a sturdy back board.  Arches paper and ink pens will be provided. ($15 per person)Registration limited to 15.


Wetland Warriors: Stargaze, Friday, September 21, 7:00 – 9:00 PM

Davidson Interpretive Center

Come gaze out at the night sky and discover the stars, constellations and planets.

Enjoy some hot chocolate, snacks and make your own planisphere. Please register so we don’t have to cancel.


BioBlitz, Friday, September 28 – Saturday, September 29, 10:00 AM

A 24-hour Event!

Spangler Nature Preserve, Leadingham Prairie

Starts at 10:00 AM on Friday and goes till 10:00 AM on Saturday

For the 3rd year in a row, the Park District will be teaming up with Wittenberg’s Biology students to conduct a 24- hour count of as many species as possible throughout our parks! There will be activities for the kids and the public will be invited to participate in some of the counts. Join us for kid activities on Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. More details will be posted on our Facebook page as we get closer to the event.


Clark Park Hikers, Every Thursday Morning, 9:00 AM

George Rogers Clark Park, Meet at lower parking lot

Join Park District Volunteers each Thursday morning to enjoy a walk through the woods at George Rogers Clark Park. This group has been exploring the park weekly for over 10 years and we are always looking for more hikers! Meet at the parking lot below the dam and experience the beauty and camaraderie found in the outdoors.

Sense of Place: Halloween Creatures, Monday, October 1, 6:30 – 7:30 PM

Fairborn Library, 1 E Main St, Fairborn, OH 45324

Join the Clark County Park District and the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery to learn about some amazing “creepy” creatures. Meet some live animals that are often associated with the Halloween holiday. This program is a collaboration with BW Greenway, for their “Sense of Place” program series. Join us to have a WILD time!


The CROW Series: Reading in Nature, Halloween Haunts, Wednesday, October 3, 1:00 PM

It’s that time of year again for bats, black cats, crows, spiders and all the other creatures that scare us this time of year. What makes these creatures so frightening to us and how do movies and books influence our thoughts on these animals? Make a Halloween craft to take home!
