Clark State Will Hold Enrollment Events for 2023 High School Graduates

Clark State College will hold two high school graduation enrollment events. The first event will begin at 4 p.m., April 19 for prospective students interested in Business, IT, Engineering, Digital Arts, Theatre, Agriculture and Pathways to a bachelor’s degree. A second event will be held at 4 p.m., April 26 for students interested in Nursing, Health and Human Public Services, Theatre and Pathways to a bachelor’s degree.

High school graduates who attend will be entered into a scholarship drawing for up to 15 credit hours of (in-state) tuition, enjoy free refreshments and giveaways while learning about financial aid, scholarship opportunities and the steps to enroll. Campus tours will also be offered.

“In addition to learning about the enrollment process, they will experience two different academic programs with demonstrations and hands on learning from our faculty coordinators,” said Dr. Travis Binley, dean of enrollment services at Clark State. “It is important for them to not just hear about programs but experience them.”

Binkley said Clark State looks forward to these events every year. The events include celebration, engaging with the Clark State community, and helping students prepare to attend college this summer or fall semester.

“We get to celebrate their major life milestone – high school graduation, and we build their excitement about a career,” he said. “The event offers a unique experience to learn about programs.”

Students and families will learn about financial aid, scholarship opportunities, and the steps to enroll. The events will be held on the main campus at 570 East Leffel Lane in Springfield.
