Members of The Ohio House of Representatives have honored the eight 2017 Clark County Fatherhood Awards nominees by signing certificates for them. The honorees and their families have been invited to an award presentation and ice cream social that will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Fellowship Hall, 1801 St. Paris Pike, Springfield, OH 45504.
The aim of the Awards is to recognize the significant role father figures play in children’s well-being and development and to raise awareness of the value of fathers in the family and the community. Judging for the 2017 Fatherhood Awards took place in late May. The four winners were presented awards during FatherFest/Juneteenth on Saturday June 17th. They are George Gammon (Posthumous); Raymond E. Lloyd, Jr (Living Legend Award); Craig C. Sample and James R. Copeland (Runners-Up). Also being recognized are Tyler J. Banion, Shawn D.
