Trail Tots

Trail Tots is for children ages 3-5 (with a caregiver) and is scheduled for Thursday, February 15 from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administration Building. Explore and learn about nature in winter with literature, music, and sensory play. The registration fee is $8 and the deadline to register is February 14. For more information call 937-328-7275. 

History Chat / Survivors: Personal Stories of St. Clair’s Defeat

The History Chat is for ages 16 & older and is scheduled for Wednesday, February 21 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm at the Davidson Interpretive Center. In 1791, General Arthur St. Clair led a diverse US Army, including seasoned veterans like Sergeant William Wharton and inexperienced recruits like Private Ralph Collins, to confront Native American Tribes in the Northwest Territory. This mission ended in tragedy on the Wabash River, with few survivors. Learn a unique view of this significant battle in Ohio’s History. The registration fee is $10 and the registration deadline is February 20. Yoga Flow

Yoga Flow is for ages 18 & older and will begin a 6-week session on Tuesday, February 27 – April 2 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administration Building. This Vinyasa class begins with mindful breathing and warm-ups before moving through seated, standing, and balancing poses. Vinyasa is a movement-based form of yoga, which focuses on flowing with the breath while reducing stress and increasing flexibility. Most postures can be modified for those with physical limitations. Participants will need to bring a yoga mat, water bottle, and any yoga props if you have them. The registration fee is $50 and the deadline to register is February 23. History Rocks

History Rocks is for youth ages 6-12 ( with a caregiver) and will be held on Thursday, February 29 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at the Enon Branch of the Clark County Public Library. In honor of Presidents Day, we delve into the contributions of First Ladies. Discover who was known as the “First Lady of the Environment” with stories, trivia games and craft. Registration is required by February 26. This free program is in collaboration with the Enon Branch of the Clark County Public Library. For more information call 937-882-6000 or 937-328-7275. 

Youth Spring Soccer

Spring Soccer is for youth in grades K-8 (current school year) and will feature co-ed teams, organized primarily by school district affiliations and, when possible through a blind draft process. Participants must commit to a league scheduled on two predetermined days listed below, with no option to switch leagues post-registration. All games will take place at the Eagle City Soccer Complex beginning in April. The duration of the league will be six to seven weeks. The registration fee is $45 and the deadline to register is February 16. 

Trail Hikers

Trail Hikers is for ages 18 & older and scheduled for Wednesdays from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Old Reid Park/Kirby Preserve, New Reid Park, Rebert Pike Nature Park, Davidson Interpretive Center and the Ledingham Prairie These guided, self paced hikes allow you to explore our local natural environments. Wear hiking boots, all trails are natural. Hikers must complete a yearly registration form before their first hike. For the complete Trail Hikers schedule go to ntprd.org

Clark Park Hikers

Clark Park Hikers is for ages 18 & older and held on Thursdays from 9:00 -10:00 am at George Rogers Clark Park. Take a hike through the woods and experience the beauty and camaraderie found in the great outdoors. Hikers must complete a yearly registration form before their first hike.
