Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist Course
A Certified Volunteer Naturalist Training will be held in 2019 presented by National Trail Parks and Recreation District and the Clark County Park District, in collaboration with the Ohio State University. Course locations will vary from week to week to help acquaint participants with the natural area around Clark County. To become an Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist, individuals must complete 40 hours of instruction and perform 40 hours of approved volunteer service within the first year with NTPRD or CCPD. The deadline to submit an application is November 30, 2018. The registration fee for the course is $150 and due January 4, 2019.The brochure, application and more information is available at www.ntprd.org. For more information call 328-PARK.
Santa Come to Snyder
Santa Comes to Snyder will be held Saturday, December 1 from 1:00pm to 4:00 pm at the Snyder Park Clubhouse. Celebrate the season with Santa and his live reindeer along with kids crafts and fun. Don’t forget to bring the camera for holiday pictures.This program is free and open to all ages. For more information call 328-PARK.
Green Solutions
Green Solutions will be held on Thursday, December 6 from 6:30pm – 7:30 pm at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administration Building. Explore local climate impacts with interactive demonstrations presented by Wittenberg University students Participants will also have the opportunity to make a wintery craft using natural and recycled materials. This program is open to youth ages 7 to 18 and children 13 & under must be accompanied by an adult. This program is free and registration is required and available online by going to www.ntprd.org. Hand Knitted Blanket
A Hand Knitted Blanket class, open to ages 15 and older, will be held on Saturday, December 8 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the NTPRD Administration Building. Learn to make a warm fuzzy blanket with just your arms and hands. Price includes instructions and all materials needed to make a warn 5′ x 5′  soft, washable chenille blanket. Colors are varied. Coffee and light snacks will be provided. The registration fee is $50 and the registration deadline is December 6. This class is done in partnership with Sip and Dipity Paint Bar.
Play Pals
Play Pals is open to children ages 2-4 (with adult) and will be held on Thursday, December 13 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administration Building. Play Pals offers parents and caregivers the opportunity to participate in fun activities with their little ones. It is designed to build sensory awareness and motor skills while encouraging social interaction. Activities include learning stations along with music, movement and story time. The registration fee is $5. For more information call 328-PARK.
Dribblers Youth Basketball

Register now for Dribblers Basketball open to youth in Grades 1 & 2. This instructional league teaches the basic skills of the game through drills, stations and games. This 6-week program will be held twice a week starting in January. Days and times and location are to be determined. Adult participation is required. The registration fee is $35 and the deadline to register is November 30, 2018. Registration is available online at www.ntprd.org or in person at the NTPRD Administration Building.
Junior Jammers Basketball
Register now for Junior Jammers. Junior Jammers Basketball is open to youth in grades 3-4 and is a highly instructional league with an emphasis on skill development. This 6-week program will be held 2 times a week starting in January. The first 2 weeks will be clinic and practice style sessions with the last four weeks being practices and games. Days, times and locations are to be determined. The registration fee is $35 and the deadline to register is November 30, 2018. For more information call 328-PARK.
Trail Walkers
Trail Walkers is held on Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on our local multi-purpose trails. Trail Walkers is a guided, self-paced walk that highlights the multi-purpose trail system while promoting fitness, fellowship and fun. The next Trail Walkers is scheduled for November 20 at 10:00 am and meeting at Old Reid Park at the parking area off Pumphouse Road. Trail Walkers is sponsored by Richards, Raff and Dunbar Memorial Home and Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home. For more information call NTPRD at 328-PARK.
 
Trail Hikers
Trail Hikers is organized by National Trail Parks and Recreation District and held on Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Rebert Pike Nature Park on the 1st, 3rd & 5th weeks of the month and at New Reid Park on the 2nd & 4th week. These guided, self-paced hikes will allow you to explore and enjoy our local natural environment. Hiking boots are recommended. The program is free. For more information call 328-PARK.
