Basketball Clinics
Youth Basketball Clinics will be held for youth ages 8-16 on Tuesdays, June 4, 11, 18 and 25 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Sherman Ave. Park. Youth will receive instruction on basic basketball fundamentals in a fun format during these free clinics. The clinic will teach teamwork and discipline to help participants reach their maximum potential. Growing Herbs
Growing Herbs will be presented Thursday, June 6 from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administration Building. This program is open to ages 16 and older and participants will learn the benefits of herbs and how to grow them in the garden. Participants will receive an herb plant to take home. The registration fee is $5 and the registration deadline is June 4. For more information call 328-PARK.
GrandPals Fishing Frenzy
A Fishing Frenzy will be held on Friday, June 7 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Old Reid Park. This program is open to all ages. Bring your Grandpa, Grandma or an adult for a fun afternoon of fishing at Old Reid Park. The registration fee is $5 and includes bait, water and a small snack. Registration is required and available online or in person at the NTPRD Administration Building. Health Nuts Mini Camps
Health Nuts Mini Camps will be held Fridays, June 7, 14, 21, 28 and July 12 & 19 from 9:30 am – 11:30 am at the Snyder Park Clubhouse Shelter House. Health Nuts is open to youth ages 7-12 and combines health and environmental education through fun outdoor activities and healthy eating topics. Participants will learn to appreciate nature, be more physically active and to eat healthier with hands on activities and games. Each camp will have a different theme and activities. Health Nuts is a collaboration between NTPRD and the Ohio State University Extension, Clark County Family & Consumer Sciences and is funded by a grant from the Community Health Foundation. Family Health & Fitness Day Walk
A walk will be held on Saturday, June 8 from 9:00 am – 10:00 am on the Simon Kenton Trail and meeting at Eagle City Soccer Complex. This walk is for all ages and in celebration of Family Health & Fitness Day. Registration is required. For more information call 328-PARK.
Family Health & Fitness Day Bike Ride
A Family Bike Ride, for ages 7 & up, will be held Saturday, June 8 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am on the Simon Kenton Trail and meeting at Eagle City Soccer Complex. Celebrate Family Health and Fitness Day with a  bike ride on the local trail. This program will begin with instruction and then a leisurely ride for a 8-10 mph ride. Have the opportunity to go to Splash Zone after the ride. All riders must have a bike helmet to participate. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This ride is in partnership with Bike Springfield. Registration is required and available online at www.ntprd.org or in person at the NTPRD Administration Building. Comedy Magic Show
A Comedy Magic Show will be held on Wednesday, June 12 from at 12:00 pm at the Snyder Park Band Shell. Come out and see a spectacular summer magic show appropriate for all ages. This Comedy Magic Show is all about fast-paced fun with lots of audience participation. This program is free. For more information call 328-PARK.
Magic is Fun Workshop
A Magic is Fun Workshop will be held on Wednesday, June 12 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm at the Snyder Park Clubhouse. Young magicians will learn tricks that are easy to do but can still wow friends and family. Participants will receive a magic bag of tricks and instructions to take home. This program is open to youth ages 5-12. The registration fee is $20 and the registration deadline is June 6. For more information call 328-PARK.
Play Pals
Play Pals is open to children ages 2-4 along with a parent or guardian and will be held on Thursday, June 13. Play Pals offers parents and caregivers the opportunity to participate with their little ones in fun activities. The theme this month is frogs. The registration fee is $5 and the registration deadline is June 11 or when full. For more information call 328-PARK.
Make Play Time Exercise: Parents & Kids Activity Class
Make Play Time Exercise will begin a six-week session on Thursday June 13 – July 25 (except July 4) from 6:00 – 7:00 pm at the Snyder Park Band Shell. Make Play Time Exercise is open to children ages 3 – 8 along with a parent or guardian. This class will teach activities and games that parents and kids can do together so both can be physically active. The registration fee is $40 and pre-registration is required by June 7. Hoops for Hope Basketball Mini Camp
The Hoops for Hope Basketball Camp will be held June 12 – 14 from 9:00 am – 11:30 am at Hayward Middle School for youth ages 7-13. Campers will receive a comprehensive instruction in all phases of the game of basketball in a fun format. The instructor is Jim Scoby. The registration fee is $45 and the deadline to register is June 10. For more information call 328-PARK.
Wild About Nature Day
Wild About Nature Day will be held on Saturday, June 15 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Snyder Park Clubhouse. Bring the family out to celebrate nature. See a live deer and foxes. Other activities will include a camping demonstration, back packing skills, garden walk and nature education stations and more. This program is free and open to all ages. Adult Tennis Leagues
The adult tennis leagues are for adults ages 18 and over and will be held on the soft courts at Old Reid Park Tennis Center. They begin in June and run through August. Mondays are Mixed Doubles, Tuesdays Men’s Doubles and Thursdays Men’s & Women’s Singles. The registration fee is $10 per player/per league plus daily court fees. Leagues will be divided into skill levels depending on the number of participants registered. For more information call 328-PARK.
Old Reid Park Tennis Center
The Old Reid Park Tennis Center is now open for the summer with the following hours: Monday-Thursday from 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm, Saturdays from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm and Sundays from 12:00 – 9:00 pm. Additional weekday mornings available by special appointments. For more information call 328-PARK.
Splash Zone
Splash Zone Waterpark is open daily through August 11 from 12:00 – 7:00 pm. Season Passes are available and include pass holder perks. Water Walking and Lap Swim begins May 28 and will be held Monday – Saturday from 9:00 am – 11:30 am and Monday – Sunday from 5:45 – 6:45 pm. See the complete list of activities at www.ntrd.org
Trail Walkers
The Trail Walkers is a guided, self-paced walk on paved trails and promotes fitness, fellowship and fun. Trail Walkers is held on Tuesdays and the walk on June 11 will be held at Old Reid Park. For more information call 328-7275.
 
Trail Hikers
Trail Hikers is organized by National Trail Parks and Recreation District and held on Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Trail Hikers will be held at Rebert Pike Nature Park on the 1st, 3rd & 5th weeks of the month and at New Reid Park on the 2nd and at Old Reid Park on the 4th week. These guided, self-paced hikes will allow you to explore and enjoy our local natural environment. Hiking boots are recommended. This program is free. For more information call 328-PARK.
Trail Riders
Trail Riders is organized by National Trail Parks and Recreation District and meets on Mondays at 10:00 am. The next ride is scheduled for June 10 to ride on the Simon Kenton Trail and meeting at the County Line Road Staging Area. These self-paced rides are 10-12 mph and explores local bike trails while promoting fitness and fun. Registration and bike helmets are required. For more information call 328-PARK.
