Springfield High School Graduates of 1953 held their 65th Class Reunion recently at the Derby Banquet Center at Windy Knoll Golf Course. Reunion Committee members recognized H. Philip Barber who was presented with a cobalt blue award inscribed in gold for serving as the chairman. The award was presented by Marianne Ludlow Nave during the evening dinner program that included the classmates singing their Wildcat Fight Song and The Alma Mater. Other committee members included James R. Neff, James R. Johnson, Diane Huston Walsh, Harry G. Peare, Roger M. Moore, Anita Mills Martin, Shirley Crabbe Finney and Richard A. Simons. The reunion day included an afternoon tour of “The Dome” at the old SHS location. (The event was held on Saturday, July 21, 2018.)
