Do you have a great car, truck or motorcycle you’d like to show off?
Bring it to the TAC Cruise-In Friday, June 22. Legendary car show guy Dick “Hot Dog” Ryman will host the inaugural event at the Old Selma Road location of TAC beginning at 5 p.m. and running until 9 p.m. There is no entry fee for the event. Dash plaques will be given to the first 100 vehicles that roll through the gate.
Designed as a fundraiser for the nonprofit, the TAC Cruise-In features music, raffles, Kay’s Kitchen food truck, 50/50 drawings, raffle drawings for Speedway gift cards, and more.
TAC doors will be open for visitors interested in touring the facility to learn more about how TAC employs, connects and cares for people with disabilities in our community.
Of special interest is a 1929 ford Model A Deluxe Fordor Town Sedan. TAC received the car from an anonymous donor and will have it on display at the Cruise-In event.
TAC is raffling off the vintage car in a “Car or Cash” raffle. Top prize is the Model A car OR $5,000 cash; 2nd prize is $1,000 cash; there are 3 third prizes of $100 each.
Tickets for the raffle are $25 each (or 5 for $100) and will be for sale at the Cruise-In on June 22. TAC staffers will be on-hand to sell tickets for $25 each, 5 for $100.
The Car OR Cash raffle is already generating excitement among people who have seen the donated car. Only 1,000 tickets will be sold and the winning tickets will be drawn on October 7.
“This has turned into the ‘year of transportation’ for TAC,” said TAC Communications / Development / Marketing Coordinator Tracey Hanlin.
Because vehicles are needed at TAC, the raffle proceeds will be used to purchase a new community inclusion vehicle to transport people with developmental disabilities on outings, to work in the community, and to/from work at TAC.
“Your odds of winning are very good,” she added. Only 1,000 tickets are available for the drawing. Second prize is $1,000 cash; there will be ten 3rd place tickets drawn for $100 each.
You may purchase raffle tickets for the Car / Cash Raffle online: www.bit.ly/CarORcash or by phone: (937) 525-7488. Anyone wishing to buy tickets may stop by TAC at 2160 Old Selma Road, Springfield, OH 45505 Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Tickets for the Car OR Cash raffle will be sold at the TAC Cruise-In and the 1929 Model A will be on display. Credit and debit cards are welcome.
The Model A / Cash raffle will be promoted well beyond the borders of Springfield and Clark County, especially to car enthusiasts and collectors.
