Clark State Invites Public Comment on Associate Degree Nursing Program Prior to Upcoming Accreditation Review Visit by ACEN

The Clark State Community College-Springfield Regional School of Nursing will host a site visit for continuing accreditation of its associate degree nursing program by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

“Registered Nursing is the most popular major at Clark State’s Springfield and Beavercreek locations,” said Gwen Stevenson, interim dean of Health, Human and Public Services division for Clark State.

The public is invited to meet the ACEN site visit team and share comments about the program in person at a meeting scheduled for 3 p.m., Wednesday, September 18 in Room 140 of the Sara T. Landess Technology and Learning Center, 570 East Leffel Lane, Springfield, Ohio.

Written comments are also encouraged and can be submitted directly to: Dr. Marsal Stoll, Chief Executive Officer Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, 3343 Peachtree Road Northeast, Suite 850 Atlanta, GA 30326 or email: mstoll@acenursing.org.

All written comments must be received by the ACEN by September 3, 2019.

“The accreditation process for higher education institutions seeks to determine and confirm both the academic quality of the institution and the ways that institution meets its mission,” said Dr. Jo Alice Blondin, president of Clark State. “We welcome the feedback we receive from the public as well as from our visiting team of peer reviewers.”
