Last fall, Gwyn Davis raised money at her parent’s garage sale by making crafts to sell. Through that effort, she raised over $100.00 to donate to the Clark County Park District. Gwyn has been a volunteer at the Park District with her dad for several years and is an avid fisherman. She donated the money to buy fish for Hosterman Lake at George Rogers Clark Park. That donation then turned into over $400.00 with other donations.
On May 14, the fish were purchased at Fresh Water Farms in Urbana. The owner was so moved by Gwyn and her efforts that he donated another $100.00 in fish! The fish were released into the lake that same day.
We want to thank Gwyn Davis, Fresh Water Farms and all of the other folks that donated so we can have more fish in the lake!
