Foam Frenzy
A Foam Frenzy will be presented by National Trail Parks and Recreation District and held on Wednesday, August 8 at 1:30 pm at the Train Depot in South Charleston. Foam Frenzy is a mini foam party for kids of all ages. You’ll get wet so don’t forget the towel. The sponsor for Foam Frenzy is Madison Health. For more information call 328-PARK.
Outdoor Movie Night
An Outdoor Movie Night is scheduled for Friday, August 10 at the Enon Community Park, featuring Black Panther. Grab a blanket, lawn chair, family and friends and head to the movies. This free movie will be projected on a large inflatable screen. The sponsor for this event is Bill Marine. For more information call 328-PARK.
Play Pals
Play Pals is open to children ages 2-4 along with an adult parent or guardian and will be held on Thursday, August 9 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administration Building. Participate in learning stations, stories, songs, craft and new learning experiences for you and your pal. The registration fee is $5 and the deadline to register is August 6. Space is limited. Crafty Cards
Crafty Cards will be held on Monday, August 6 from 6:00 am -8:00 pm at the NTPRD Administration Building. Supplies and instructions are provided for 4-5 card projects. Participants work at their own pace and skill level. The registration fee is $12. Pre-registration is required by August 2 and available  online by going to www.ntprd.org.
 
Personalitrees
Personalitrees will begin at New Reid Park on August 3. Search Rebert Pike Nature Park, Snyder Park and New Reid and Old Reid Park for enchanted forest friends. Go to www.ntprd.org for the starting location at each park and search for the five trees that reveal their face to you. Then select one tree you name and share its backstory. Each photo and backstory counts as an entry in a drawing for prizes. For more information call NTPRD at 328-PARK.

Trail Walkers
Trail Walkers is held on Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on our local multi-purpose trails. Trail Walkers is a guided, self-paced walk that highlights the multi-purpose trail system while promoting fitness, fellowship and fun. The next Trail Walkers is scheduled for August 7 and meeting at the Eagle City Soccer Complex. Trail Walkers is sponsored by Richards, Raff and Dunbar Memorial Home and Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home. Trail Hikers
Trail Hikers is organized by National Trail Parks and Recreation District and held on Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Rebert Pike Nature Park on the 1st, 3rd & 5th weeks of the month and at New Reid Park on the 2nd & 4th week. These guided, self-paced hikes will allow you to explore and enjoy our local natural environment. Hiking boots are recommended. The program is free. For more information call 328-PARK.
 
Trail Riders
The next Trail Riders is scheduled for August 6 and meeting at Eagle City Soccer Complex. Trail Riders is a guided, self-paced biking program that is approximately 10-15 miles and explores local bike trails while promoting fitness and fun. Bike helmets are required. For more information call 328-PARK.
 
Start Smart Soccer
Register now for Start Smart Soccer for children ages 3-5 ( as of September 1). This 6-week, fun, instructional, co-ed league is designed to teach basic beginner skills of soccer through drills and stations. The first four weeks will be instructional focusing on development followed by two weeks of games. Equipment will be provided in teaching kicking, dribbling, trapping, throw ins and agility. Registration includes shin guards, one size 3 ball and more. The registration fee is $50 and the deadline to register is August 24. Registration is available online by going to www.ntprd.org or in person at the NTPRD Administration Building.
 
Youth Flag Football
Late registration is underway for Youth Flag Football for youth in grades 1-6. Flag Football will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays at Snyder Park. This coed,  non-contact, 5v5 league teaches the basics of football. The league begins in early August and runs through early October. Teams are grouped by school districts when possible. All participants must have a mouth guard. The registration fee is $40. Space is limited. For more information call 328-PARK.
 
Old Reid Park Tennis Center
The Old Reid Park Tennis Center is now open through Labor Day Weekend. Hours are Monday – Friday 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm, Saturdays 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm. All court times are pay. For more information call 328-PARK.
 
Splash Zone
Splash Zone is now open daily until August 12 from 12:00 – 7:00 pm. SZ will be open limited hours though August 26. Check out the complete schedule atwww.ntprd.org.
