Yappy Howl-O-Ween
Yappy Howl-O-Ween will be held on  Wednesday, October 23 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the Snyder Park Clubhouse area. Bring your 4-legged friend to enjoy live music, cold beverages, food and fun. There will be a costume contest and special doggy treats. This event is sponsored by Wet Your Whiskers. For more information call 328-PARK.
Lookin’ For The Great Pumpkin
Lookin’ For the Great Pumpkin is a fun family activity where you find clues hidden in the NTPRD parks each week to search for the final destination of the Great Pumpkin. Each week will feature a new location and clues to finally find the pick of the patch. Photograph yourself with the Great Pumpkin and send to nationaltrail@springfieldohio.gov to be eligible for prizes. This program will move to the NTPRD Buck Creek Nature Park on Tuesday, October 22. For more information call 328-PARK.
Fall Stargaze
A Fall Stargaze will be held on Saturday, November 2 from 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm at Eagle City Soccer Complex. Explore the mysteries of the night sky with a telescope. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on. This program is done in partnership with the Miami Valley Astronomical Society. Pre-registration is required by October 31. Yoga Fitness
A new 6-week session of Yoga Fitness for adults ages 18 & older will begin Tuesday, October 29 from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administration Building. This class will include warm-ups; basic yoga postures including bending, stretching and balancing, breathing techniques and deep relaxation. This yoga class is suitable for both beginners and experienced yoga students. Postures can be modified for those with physical limitations.  The registration fee is $50 and the deadline to register is October 25. For more information call 328-PARK (7275).
Fall Family Hayride
A Fall Family Hayride will be held on Wednesday, October 30 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Snyder Park Clubhouse Shelter. Enjoy a fall hayride in beautiful Snyder Park along with a campfire, children’s craft, face painting and bat education at this free program. For more information call 328-PARK.
 
Trail Walkers
Trail Walkers is a guided, self-paced walk on paved trails and promotes fitness, fellowship and fun. Trail Walkers is held on Tuesdays at 10:00 am to walk on the local multi-use trails. The walk on October 29 will be held on the Simon Kenton Trail and meeting at the NTPRD Administration Building.  For more information call 328-7275.
Trail Hikers
Trail Hikers is organized by National Trail Parks and Recreation District and held on Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Trail Hikers will be held at Rebert Pike Nature Park on the 1st, 3rd & 5th weeks of the month and at New Reid Park on the 2nd and at Old Reid Park on the 4th week. These guided, self-paced hikes will allow you to explore and enjoy our local natural environment. Hiking boots are recommended. This program is free. For more information call 328-PARK.
Dribblers Youth Basketball
Registration is now open for Dribblers Basketball for youth in grades 1st & 2nd. This is an instructional league teaching the basic skills of the game through drills, stations and games. This 8-week program will be held twice a week starting in January.The registration fee is $40 and the deadline to register is November 22. Registration is available online by going to www.ntprd.org. or at the NTPRD Administration Building located at 1301 Mitchell Blvd.
Junior Jammers
Registration is open for Junior Jammers Youth Basketball for youth in grades 3rd & 4th. Junior Jammers is a highly instructional league with an emphasis on skill development. This 8-week program will be held twice a week starting in January. The registration fee is $40 and the deadline to register is November 22.
Bucket Busters
Bucket Busters Youth Basketball is a co-ed recreational league for youth in grades 5th-7th with an emphasis on improving skill development through practices and games. Participants of this program will have two practices and one game a week starting in January. Teams will be organized by schools if possible.The registration fee is $40 and the registration deadline is November 22. For more information call 328-PARK.
