Maple Sugaring
A Maple Sugaring program will be held on Saturday, November 16 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administration Building. Discover the process of making your own pure maple syrup during this educational program for ages 12 & older. The class will cover all particulars of making pure maple syrup. Learn how to identify a sugar maple tree and see other aspects of the process of making pure maple syrup. The program is free and registration is required by November 13. Online registration is available. Seed Roundup
NTPRD needs your help in restoring our forests for the future. Collect seeds from mature native oaks and hickories this month and bring the bagged and tagged seeds by the NTPRD Administration Building on Saturday, November 16 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Complete instructions for collecting oak & hickory seeds is on the NTPRD website at www.ntprd.org.
Play Pals
Play Pals will be held on Thursday, November 14 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at the NTPRD Administration Building. Play Pals is open to children ages 2-4 (along with an adult) and offers parents and caregivers the opportunity to participate with their little ones in fun activities. Play, sing and read stories along with activity stations, arts and crafts and new learning experiences. The registration fee is $5 and the deadline to register is November 13. Nature Explorers Homeschool Club
Nature Explorers Homeschool Club is open to youth ages 6-12 and will be held on Friday, November 15 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at the NTPRD Administration Building. This program is designed specifically for homeschool students with hands on exploration. Each month will feature a new topic explored through fun activities and outdoor exploration. The registration fee is $2 and pre-registration is required by November 13. For more information call 328-PARK.
National Take a Hike Day
National Take a Hike Day is scheduled for Sunday, November 17 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Rebert Pike Nature Park. Celebrate National Take a Hike Day on this family friendly hike. This guided hike will last about an hour and will take place on an all natural trail so be sure to wear your hiking boots. Pre-registration is recommended. For more information call 328-PARK.
Holiday Wreath Class
A Holiday Wreath Class will be held on Thursday, November 21 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the NTPRD Administration Building for ages 16 and older. Learn the basics of wreath making and make a holiday winter wreath to take home. All materials are included. The registration fee is $30 and the deadline to register is November 15. Holiday String Art
A Holiday String Art class will be held on Saturday, November 23 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the NTPRD Administration Building. Learn how to create a winter themed string art design. All materials and instruction will be provided. When registering choose between a snowflake or candy cane design. The registration fee is $30 and the deadline to register is November 18. Pilgrim Plunge
Dive into the holidays by participating in the Pilgrim Plunge at Wittenberg University. This program is for all ages and will be held Friday, November 22 from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the Wittenberg University Natatorium. The fee is $2 per participant. Children ages 7 and under must have an adult in the water with them at all times. For more information call 328-PARK.
 
Trail Walkers
Trail Walkers is a guided, self-paced walk on paved trails and promotes fitness, fellowship and fun. Trail Walkers is held on Tuesdays at 10:00 am to walk on the local multi-use trails. The walk on November 19 will be on the Simon Kenton Trail and meeting at the County Line Road staging area. For more information call 328-7275.
 
Trail Hikers
Trail Hikers is organized by National Trail Parks and Recreation District and held on Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Trail Hikers will be held at Rebert Pike Nature Park on the 1st, 3rd & 5th weeks of the month and at New Reid Park on the 2nd and at Old Reid Park on the 4th week. These guided, self-paced hikes will allow you to explore and enjoy our local natural environment. Hiking boots are recommended. This program is free. For more information call 328-PARK.
Dribblers Youth Basketball
Register now for Dribblers Basketball for youth in grades 1st & 2nd. This is an instructional league teaching the basic skills of the game through drills, stations and games. This 8-week program will be held twice a week starting in January.The registration fee is $40 and the deadline to register is November 22. Registration is available online by going to www.ntprd.org. or at the NTPRD Administration Building located at 1301 Mitchell Blvd.
Junior Jammers Youth Basketball
Register now for Junior Jammers Youth Basketball for youth in grades 3rd & 4th. Junior Jammers is a highly instructional league with an emphasis on skill development. This 8-week program will be held twice a week starting in January. The registration fee is $40 and the deadline to register is November 22.
Bucket Busters Youth Basketball
Bucket Busters Youth Basketball is a co-ed recreational league for youth in grades 5th-7th with an emphasis on improving skill development through practices and games. Participants of this program will have two practices and one game a week starting in January. Teams will be organized by schools if possible.The registration fee is $40 and the registration deadline is November 22. For more information call 328-PARK.
