Autumn Wreath Class
The Autumn Wreath Class will be held on Saturday, September 7 from 9:30 am – 11:30 am at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administration Building. Learn the basics of wreath making and create your own fall seasonal wreath to take home. All materials are included. The registration fee is $30 and the deadline to register is August 30. Butterfly Walk
A Butterfly Walk will be held on Saturday, September 7 at 1:00 pm and will start at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administration Building. Discover the world of butterflies on this guided educational walk. We will be looking for butterflies to identify and observe. Pre-registration is required. For more information call 328-PARK.
Active Living Everyday
Active Living Everyday is a 12-week evidence-program that will be held on Wednesdays, September 11- November 27 from 9:00 am – 10:00 am at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administration Building. This program will focus on behavior change that teaches sedentary adults the skills necessary to overcome barriers to physical activity. Explore ways to be active every day as well as the skills you need to become and stay physically active during this classroom-based program. Musikgarten
A 6-week fall session of Musikgarten will begin Friday, September 13 – October 18 from 10:00 am – 10:30 am at the Snyder Park Clubhouse. Musikgarten is open to children ages 1-5 along with an adult. Participate with your toddler in singing, moving and dancing. This 30 minute class incorporates music with movements that will explore, encourage and develop a child’s love of both music and nature. An interactive music book with CD and other materials is included in the registration fee. The registration fee is $75 and the registration deadline is September 6. Lego Stem Club
A Lego Stem Club will be held on Friday, September 13 from 4:00 – 5:30 pm at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administration Building. Lego Stem Club is open to youth in grades 6-8 and will let them explore creative solutions by building and testing their ideas. Each month will focus on a different problem and will encourage students to work together all while having fun. All materials and a snack will be provided. The registration fee is $10 and the registration deadline is September 9.
Pilates Fitness Class
A 6-week Pilates class will begin on Wednesday, September 18 – October 23 from 9:30 am – 10:30 am at the NTPRD Administration Building. Pilates is stretching and strengthening. It tones muscle, improves posture, provides flexibility and balance. Bring a mat and water bottle. The registration fee is $40 and the deadline to register is September 11. Summer Letterbox Adventure
This is the last week for the Summer Letterbox Adventure. You can still pick up a booklet at the NTPRD Administration Building, Heritage Center or the Clark County Park District. Find clues to help find the letterboxes hidden in local parks including National Trail Parks and Recreation District, Clark County Park District, Heritage Center and the US Army Corps of Engineers at the C.J. Brown Dam & Reservoir. Return the completed booklets to NTPRD and fill out a registration form to be eligible for prizes. Team CO-Ed Fall Soccer
Registration is now underway for adult Team CO-Ed Fall Soccer for ages 18 and older. This five game adult co-ed league will play on Sunday afternoons starting September 8. The registration fee is $350 per team. The registration deadline is September 8. For more information call 328-PARK.
Trail Walkers
Trail Walkers is a guided, self-paced walk on paved trails and promotes fitness, fellowship and fun. Trail Walkers is held on Tuesdays at 10:00 am to walk on the local multi-use trails. The walk on September 3 will take place on the Simon Kenton Trail and meeting at Eagle City Soccer Complex. For more information call 328-7275.
 
Trail Hikers
Trail Hikers is organized by National Trail Parks and Recreation District and held on Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Trail Hikers will be held at Rebert Pike Nature Park on the 1st, 3rd & 5th weeks of the month and at New Reid Park on the 2nd and at Old Reid Park on the 4th week. These guided, self-paced hikes will allow you to explore and enjoy our local natural environment. Hiking boots are recommended. This program is free. For more information call 328-PARK.
Trail Riders
Trail Riders is a guided, self-paced biking program and rides approximately 15-20 miles and explores local bike trails while promoting fitness and fun. The next ride is Monday, September 9 at 10:00 am on the Simon Kenton Trail and meeting at Eagle City Soccer Complex. The group will stop for lunch on their ride and participants are responsible for the payment of their own lunch. Bike helmets are required. For more information call 328-PARK.
