The Night Tree
The Night Tree family program will be held on Saturday, December 9 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at the NTPRD Administration Building. Listen to a holiday story and then have the opportunity to make natural decorations and crafts to decorate trees for birds. This program is free and open to all ages. An adult must accompany children. Pre-registration is required by December 5, 2017. For more information call 328-PARK.
Play Pals
The next Play Pals will be held on Thursday, December 14 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administration Building. Play Pals offers parents and caregivers the opportunity to participate with their little ones on fun activities. It’s designed to build sensory awareness and motor skills while encouraging social interaction. Each program begins with learning stations along with music, movement and story time. Crafts and hands-on-activities extend the fun and learning. The registration fee is $5. For more information call 328-PARK.
Dribblers Youth Basketball
Registration is underway for Dribblers Youth Basketball for youth in grades 1st & 2nd. Dribblers Youth Basketball is an instructional league teaching the basic skills of the game through drills, stations and games. This 6-week program will be held twice a week starting in January, with days and times to be determined. Adult participation is required. The registration fee is $35 and the deadline to register is December 1, 2017. Registration is available online by going to www.ntprd.org or in person at the NTPRD Administration Building, Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Junior Jammers Youth Basketball
Registration is underway for the Junior Jammers Youth Basketball for youth in grades 3rd & 4th. Junior Jammers Youth Basketball is a highly instructional league with an emphasis on skill development. This 6-week program will be held twice a week starting in January. The first two weeks will be a clinic and practice style sessions with the last 4-weeks being practice and games. Trail Walkers
Trail Walkers will meet on Tuesday, November 28 at Splash Zone Waterpark to walk on the Simon Kenton Trail. Trail Walkers highlights the multi-purpose trail system while promoting fitness, fellowship and fun. These guided walks are self-paced. The 2017 Trail Walkers program is sponsored by Richards, Raff and Dunbar Memorial Home and Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home. Trail Hikers
Trail Hikers is organized by National Trail Parks and Recreation District and held on Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Rebert Pike Nature Park on the 1st, 3rd & 5th week of the month and at New Reid Park on the 2nd & 4th weeks of the month. These guided, self-paced hikes will allow you to explore and enjoy our local natural environment.
